Teen Robbed During Seizure At Dallas Bus Station

April 24th, 2008 Posted in News Articles, Online, Special Interest

A man is behind bars after robbing a teenager who was having a seizure at a Dallas bus station. Both the crime and the arrest were captured on the bus station’s security cameras.

Frank White, a 33-year-old Dallas resident, took a wallet belonging to 18-year-old Mississippi State University ROTC student Andrew Bow Wednesday evening as Bow suffered a seizure. White can be seen on tape approaching Bow as he shook on the ground. White looks around, then reaches in to Bow’s back pocket, retrieves the wallet, and walks off.

“He sees an individual that can’t fight back. Can’t call for help. Can’t flee,” Dallas Police Corporal Kevin Janse told KXAS-TV. “This guy’s down on the ground having a seizure and he knows he’s got an easy target.” White has been known to frequent mass transit stations in Dallas. Police say White may be homeless and has previously been arrested for trespassing.

Bow was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released. It’s unknown what triggered the teenager’s seizure.
