Gamer website WhatTheyPlay.com recently asked their users in a Question of the Day poll what they found to be most offensive in a videogame targeted toward children—a severed head, the use of a certain expletive, same-sex kissing or intercourse between a man and a woman. The non-scientific poll found that parents found sex overall to be more offensive than language or violence.

Out of those surveyed, 37 percent said that intercourse between a man and a woman would be offensive in a videogame, while same-sex kissing came in second place with 27 percent. Trailing homosexual intimacy came “a severed head” at 26 percent, while repeated useage of the word “fuck” came in last place with 10 percent of the votes.

It should be noted that the poll was not directed at individuals who were parents, but rather encouraged a voter to hypothesize what they would find offensive if they were a parent. It’s unclear how many visitors to WhatTheyPlay.com voted in the poll.
