Slacker Portable Available Today
Remember last April when I wrote about Slacker, the device that was supposed to change the way we listened to Internet and satellite radio on the go? Remember how I said it would be coming out in Fall 2007?
I was a little late in my prediction. However, for everyone who has eagerly been awaiting, Slacker Portable is making its debut today!
The portable Slacker player is everything we’ve been promised and more. The combination Internet/satellite radio device will market for $199 for the basic 4GB model, with 8GBs available for $100 more. According to Engadget, Slacker will also debut support devices from Logitech and portable phone applications to listen to Slacker on smartphones and other portable mobile devices. Could Slacker’s portable applications provide one more reason for purchasing the iPod Touch? Time will tell…
In my past life, I was a tree or something. If not a tree, something that grew old and didn't move very much. I'm pretty convinced of this.
