A Thousand Words

This is what I love about living in a country with freedom of expression. In the background, protestors against homosexuality and sodomy. In-focus are two girls engaged in an embrace of affection, defiant against those who outnumber them, two to many.
I snapped this photo two weeks ago, but didn’t import the photos until today. This was one of the photos out of about two hundred that stood out to me, one that I’m really proud of. It’s one of those images that puts to truth the phrase, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”

Aww! That’s a sweet photo. Tweak it a bit and you could frame it. Awesome. :)
And not just cause of the content. :)

I changed my mind.. You don’t even need to tweak it.. But it would look great in Black & White with a border as well. :P

Heather: You’re right, greytone would make this photo look awesome. I hadn’t even thought about it, but I don’t know that I’d put a border around it. I feel like doing both would make it look too MySpace-esque.

This is a beautiful photo. They just look happy. Content. And if you ignore the background, it’s pretty because it’s so simple and uncomplicated.
Hey, where’s my simple and uncomplicated happiness? Does such a thing exist?
